Are you looking for a simple to make, yet elegant, wall or table decoration to move you through summer into the holiday period? This beauty is simple to make while delivering huge bang for the buck!

Supplies needed:

  • Wall hanging as shown from Dollar Tree. You are using the back of the wall hanging for this project.
  • Black and white checkered paper from Hobby Lobby.
  • Two clip on flowers as shown from Hobby Lobby. They were part of the Christmas decorations a few years ago. I have seen then in the storeu every year.
  • Small jewel for center of bow.
  • Ribbon of your choice. I used gold ribbon from Hobby Lobby and the black & white ribbon is from Mackenzie Childs.
  • You need Mod Podge, a hot glue gun and glue sticks, and zip ties for your bows.

Instructions:

  • Place a good amount of Mod Podge all over the back of the wall hanging.
  • Press paper on to the wall hanging. The paper will not cover the “lid“ area. You will use your ribbon and flowers there. Make sure you press the paper onto the hanging ensuring it is well adhered.
  • Once paper and Mod Podge have dried, carefully cut away excess paper. Use a fine grain Emory board or sandpaper to lightly smooth the edges of the hanging removing any superfluous paper.
  • Make bows as desired and glue in place. Glue small gem into place in the center of the bow. Glue additional ribbon in place. Glue flowers in place.
  • Enjoy your beautiful creation!
